She is another show heifer added to our program in the fall of 2006.  She is the Grand Champion Angus Female of the 2006 Oklahoma State Fair.  She is Reserve Grand Champion Angus Female at the Kansas City Royal 2006, the National Western Stock Show 2007, and the Dixie National in 2007.  She was Grand Champion Angus Female at Fort Worth 2007.

Winnie is a three quarter sister to the show champion EXAR Pit Boss and a full sister to Drew Fellers Grand Champion Heifer at the 2005 American Royal and Division winner at the 2006 National Junior Angus Show.  She is a full sister to Austin Perry’s Grand Champion heifer at the California State Fair and Reserve Division Champion at the 2005 National Junior Angus Show.  Winnie has only been shown once so far and we look for purple ribbons in her future.

This heifer typifies the power and style found in Meatmaker progeny.  Her dam is a direct daughter of N Bar Primrose 2424.  A flush sister to her dam produced LaGrand Primrose 2231 who sold to Travis Turner of Texas for $42,000 and went on to be 2003 American Royal ROV Senior Heifer Calf Champion.  A heifer pregnancy from her dam and QLC LaGrand Forum sold to Classic Oaks Ranch for $7,000.

This show heifer and donor prospect is affectionately know as “Lucky” because she was on an IV for the first ten weeks of her life.  She won her division at Ozark Empire Fair in 2006 and has done quite well in the show ring for us.  She is bred to Emblazon and will calve in the fall of 2007.

This WCC Special Design L309 daughter was purchased in the Denim & Diamond Sale 2006.  She is one of Larry Greens favorite heifers, combining flawless phenotype with production EPDs that rank among non-parent females in the top 2% for YW, top 3% for WW and top 4% for Milk.  Combine that with a GeneStar result of 3 stars for Quality Grade and 6 stars for Tenderness, she places herself in elite company.  Her dam is a full sister to Greens Savannah 9909, a former ROV Show Heifer of the Year who reigned as the 2000 North American International Grand Champion.

She is owned with Cork Cattle Company and Tonya Meismer in Missouri.   She was Cow Calf Pair Grand Champion at the American Royal in 2005. She has great phenotype with a perfect utter. Nursing a tremendous bull calf by Schurrtop 2500, look for her to show as a senior cow calf pair this summer and fall.
