Christenson 4-D
Ranch began operation just north of Nowata, Oklahoma
in 2004. Jackie’s parents, Larry and Dolly
Christenson have been in the commercial cattle
business over 40 years in central South Dakota.
After a life changing experience Jackie decided to
enter into the registered cattle business
emphasizing in black angus and crossbred show
heifers.
In the
beginning it was Jackie, daughter Brooklynn Bell, and 10
heifers. It has expanded to Jackie, Brook, 20 show heifers, 30
donor cows, Kevin Emberson Ranch Manager, Bill Waltrip ranch
hand, and Connie Jones office/business manager.
Brook
does an excellent job with the junior cattle. She had the
Supreme Champion Heifer at the 2007 Oklahoma Youth Expo, Grand
Champion Angus Female at the 2007 Fort Worth Stock Show, and
Reserve Grand Angus Heifer at the 2007 National Western Stock
Show in Denver, as well other champions in 2005 and 2006.
Jackie’s Mom and Dad, along with Eddie & Joan Rankin from
Southwestern Oklahoma, act as coop ranchers on a ET buy back
program. Dwayne Rosson of Southeastern Kansas will be joining
this program soon.
Cork Cattle Company, Kevin & Neysa
Kleinman, in Southwestern Missouri manages and calves out all of
the owned recipients for Christenson 4-D.
Jackie’s
brother, Jason Christenson is a Captain in the US Army stationed
at Fort Riley, Kansas. When he retires he will move back to the
family farm and expand the ET program in South Dakota. His two
daughters, Cadence and Raina Jo will pick up the halter and show
stick for the junior program when Brook goes to college.
Our focus and goal is to provide quality show cattle who possess
above breed average carcass numbers.
